Terms of use and sale

Last updated: 17 October 2026

  • profyl.it is in beta: features can change and there is no uptime guarantee.
  • You keep ownership of what you publish, and you are responsible for it.
  • Free plan at no cost. Pro and Teams are monthly subscriptions paid through Stripe, which you can cancel at any time.
  • EU consumers can withdraw within 14 days of their first subscription and get a full refund.
  • Questions: [email protected].

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of profyl.it (the "Service") at profylit.furybee.org and any paid plan you buy. The Service is published by Sébastien FONTAINE EI, trading as FuryBee ("we", "us"); full details are in the legal notice. By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms. How we handle personal data is explained in the privacy policy.

2. The Service

profyl.it lets you build a personal profile page (a digital business card or "link in bio") in an online editor and publish it at profylit.furybee.org/your-name. A published page shows the information, links, images and embedded media you add. Visitors can open your links, save your contact card (vCard) and scan a QR code of your page. Depending on your plan you also get visitor statistics, team features and a custom domain.

Physical NFC cards are announced as "coming soon" and are not on sale yet. These terms will be updated before they are.

3. Beta

The Service is in beta. Features, limits, templates and the look of published pages may change, be added or be removed. We fix problems as fast as we reasonably can, but we do not guarantee any level of availability (no SLA), and the Service may be interrupted for maintenance or because of incidents. Data is backed up, but you should keep your own copy of anything important, such as your images. If a change takes away a feature you pay for, we will tell you in advance where possible, and you can cancel (see section 9).

4. Your account

  • You sign in with a magic link: we email you a single-use link that expires after a few minutes. There is no password. Sign-in with Google or LinkedIn is not currently available.
  • Your account is tied to your email address. Keep access to that mailbox secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Tell us at once if you think your account has been misused.
  • Each account has one profile page. Give a real email address and do not create accounts in someone else's name.
  • You must be at least 15 years old to use the Service. We do not verify age.
  • The address of your page (your "slug") must be 3 to 64 characters, and some words are reserved. We may change or reclaim a slug that impersonates a person, brand or organisation, or that is held only to block it.

5. Your content

Everything you add to your profile (name, headline, bio, links, images, embedded media, contact details) is your content. You keep all rights to it.

So that we can run the Service, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, resize and convert (for example, turning images into WebP), and publicly display your content, and to make it available as a page, a vCard and a QR code. This licence lasts only as long as the content is on the Service. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that remain for a limited time in backups (see the privacy policy).

A published page is public: anyone with the address can see it, copy it and save your contact card, and search engines may index it. Only publish what you are happy to make public. You are responsible for your content, and in particular you confirm that:

  • you have the rights to the images, text and logos you publish;
  • personal data about other people that you publish (for example a colleague's phone number) is published with their agreement;
  • your content complies with the law and with section 6.

6. Acceptable use and moderation

You must not use profyl.it to publish or link to:

  • illegal content, including content that is hateful, violent, terrorist, defamatory, or that sexually exploits minors;
  • sexually explicit or pornographic content;
  • phishing, malware, scams, or pages that collect credentials or payments under false pretences;
  • spam, or links whose only purpose is to manipulate search engines;
  • impersonation of a person, brand or organisation, or misleading claims about who you are;
  • content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy.

You must also not disrupt the Service: no attempts to bypass plan limits or security, no automated mass account creation, and no excessive automated requests. Requests are rate-limited.

How moderation works today. Content is not reviewed before it is published, and there is no automated image or text moderation yet. We act on reports and on what we notice ourselves. If content breaks these terms or the law, we may remove it, unpublish the page, or suspend or delete the account, depending on how serious the breach is and whether it is repeated. Unless the law or a risk to others prevents it, we will email you the decision and the reasons, and you can reply to contest it.

Reporting content

To report a page, email [email protected] with the address of the page, a description of the problem and why you think it is unlawful or against these terms, and your name and email (not needed for reports of child sexual abuse material). We will confirm receipt, review the report quickly, and tell you what we decided.

7. Plans and prices

Limits are checked when you publish your page.

The current prices are shown in the pricing section and on the Billing page of your dashboard: $9 per month for Pro, and $11 per seat per month for Teams. A Teams subscription has one seat for the owner plus one for each person who is a member of at least one of the owner's teams (a person in several of those teams counts once; pending invitations do not count). The amount, currency and any taxes that apply to you are displayed on the Stripe checkout page before you confirm, and that is the amount you are charged. A price change never affects a period you have already paid for. We will announce new prices by email at least 30 days before they apply to your subscription, and you can cancel before then.

8. Payment and renewal

  • Paid plans are subscriptions processed by Stripe. You pay on Stripe's checkout page, and your card details go to Stripe, never to us. Stripe's own terms also apply to the payment.
  • Your subscription starts as soon as the payment is confirmed. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period and is charged to the same payment method, until you cancel.
  • Invoices, payment methods and cancellation are handled in the Stripe billing portal, which you open with the Manage button on the Billing page.
  • If a renewal payment fails, your subscription is marked as past due. If it is not settled and Stripe ends the subscription, your account goes back to the Free plan (see section 9).
  • You can switch between Pro and Teams at any time from the Billing page. Your existing subscription is changed, never duplicated: the change applies at once, the unused part of your current plan is credited, and the price difference (prorated to the day) is added to your next invoice. Your renewal date does not change. Plan changes are made on the Billing page only, where the number of Teams seats is kept right.
  • Teams seats follow your team: when a member joins (added by you or an admin, or by accepting an invitation), leaves or is removed, the number of seats is updated automatically, prorated in the same way, and appears on your next invoice.

9. Cancellation and downgrade

You can cancel at any time from the Billing page (Manage, then cancel in the Stripe portal), or by emailing us from your account's address. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep your plan until then. No further payment is taken.

When a paid plan ends, your account goes back to Free:

  • your published page stays online, and the "profyl.it" link is added back to it;
  • your content is kept, but to publish changes you will need to fit within the Free limits (for example by removing images);
  • visitor statistics, the custom domain and team features stop. For a Teams owner, the team domain is deactivated and members fall back to their own plan.

10. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you can withdraw from your first subscription to a paid plan within 14 days of the payment, without giving a reason. The service starts immediately, but we do not ask you to give up this right. Email [email protected] from your account's address within those 14 days and say you are withdrawing (you can also use the model withdrawal form annexed to article R221-1 of the French Consumer Code). We will cancel the subscription and refund the full amount within 14 days, to the payment method you used.

11. Refunds

Apart from withdrawal, payments are not refunded for unused parts of a billing period, because cancellation stops future renewals. You do get a refund:

  • if the Service does not work as described and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, under the legal guarantee of conformity for digital services (French Consumer Code, articles L224-25-12 and following);
  • pro rata for the unused period, if we close the Service or end your plan for a reason other than your breach of these terms;
  • in any other case where the law requires it.

12. Teams

  • The Teams subscriber is the owner of the team. The owner creates the team and pays for it.
  • The owner and admins can invite people by email and remove members. Only the owner can change roles. If the email belongs to an existing profyl.it account, that person is added at once and notified by email. Otherwise they receive an invitation valid for 7 days.
  • Members get Teams features while they belong to a team whose owner has an active Teams plan. They can leave at any time. The owner cannot leave their own team.
  • Each member is a billed seat on the owner's subscription, at the Teams price per seat (see section 7); the owner is a seat too. Seats are added and removed as members join and leave, with the amount prorated (see section 8).
  • If the owner switches from Teams to Pro, the teams and their members are kept, but Teams features stop: members fall back to their own plan and the team domain is turned off. Going back to Teams restores the features; the owner then reactivates the team domain from the Team page.
  • The owner and admins can see each member's name, email address and profile photo. Each member's profile remains their own, and each member is responsible for their content under these terms.
  • If the team has an active custom domain, members' pages are also published under that domain.
  • The owner is responsible for inviting only people who expect it, such as colleagues, and for paying the subscription.

13. Custom domains

On Pro and Teams plans you can connect a domain you own. You add the DNS records we give you, and a TLS certificate is then issued for the domain through Amazon Web Services. You remain responsible for the domain and its registration. We may disconnect the domain when you remove it or when your plan ends.

14. Unpublishing, account deletion and termination

You can unpublish your page at any time from the dashboard. It is then no longer served at its public address.

Deleting an account cannot be done from the dashboard yet. To delete yours, email [email protected] from your account's address. Within 30 days we will cancel any subscription, then delete your account, profile, published pages, uploaded images, team memberships and visitor statistics. The privacy policy explains what remains for a while, such as backups and the billing records we must keep by law. If you own a team, its members lose the Teams features.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect visitors or the Service. Except in urgent cases, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to respond. If we decide to close the Service itself, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email, so that you can retrieve your content, and refund any unused prepaid period.

15. Liability

We provide the Service with reasonable care. Because it is in beta, it is provided "as is", without a promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not responsible for content published by users, for third-party sites your links lead to, or for embedded players and services run by others (YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify, SoundCloud, Twitch, Apple Music).

For business customers, our total liability under these terms is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost opportunities. None of this limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or the rights consumers have under mandatory consumer law.

16. Our intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, templates and the profyl.it name and logo belong to us. You may use the templates, styles and icons the editor provides only to build your profile on profyl.it. You must not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the Service.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when features or prices change or when the beta ends. The date at the top shows the current version. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before an important change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account before then; otherwise, continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the new terms.

18. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.

If you have a problem, please contact us first and we will try to find a solution with you. If you are a consumer and we cannot agree, you may refer the dispute free of charge to a consumer mediator (French Consumer Code, article L612-1). The mediator's details will be published on this page; until then, write to us and we will tell you which mediator to contact. You may also go to court: consumers can choose the courts of the place where they live or the courts that have jurisdiction under French law; for business customers, the courts of Paris, France have exclusive jurisdiction.
